    Easy Fruit Smoothie Recipe

blender frozen fruit and orange juice for a smoothie

Dad's easy fruit smoothie recipe uses only fruit and orange juice, no yogurt. Dad and the whole family love smoothies! We even bought a specific blender because it was good at making smoothies.

    Only fruit and fruit juice

There is no dairy in this smoothie. It is nothing more than frozen fruit and orange juice. That makes this a great option for those who are allergic to dairy or lactose intolerant. Dad is almost embarrassed to post up this "recipe" because it is so simple. However, it makes a really tasty smoothie and the kiddo absolutely loves the. Since there is no added sugar or anything Dad feels great about letting her have them every day as a snack. It is a great way to help the kiddo's get an extra serving or two of fruits.

    Freeze your leftover fruits!

We buy a lot of strawberries and sometimes they get to the point where they are a little past eating fresh and cut up. When this happens we just throw them in a freezer bag and stick them in the freezer. We also do this with the other half of the Banana that always seems left over when the kiddo eats her cereal in the morning. If your bananas are a little too ripe and you don't feel like making banana bread, into the freezer. When you want a smoothie just pull them out of the freezer!

Use frozen fruit in your smoothies

If you use frozen fruit you don't have to add any ice and you get a nice texture to your smoothie.

    Jazz it up

Throw in some peanut butter, or peanut butter powder as Dad does. A peanut butter smoothie is Dad's absolute favorite!
