Garlic Fried Rice

This recipe for Filipino garlic fried rice is THE BEST RICE EVER in my opinion. Go ahead and fight me. It is fast and easy to make and goes well with everything. Its great with spam and fried eggs for breakfast or eat it with some Chicken Adobo for a truly Filipino meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Day Old Rice from the Fridge Do not use fresh rice, it wont come out right.
  • 5 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 stalks Green Onions
  • ¼ cup Water
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  • Mince garlic cloves.
  • Cut the green onions.
  • Heat a deep sided pan over medium high heat
  • Add vegetable oil to the pan.
  • Add garlic to pan and cook until just browned. Make sure not to burn.
  • Ad green onion to pan and cook for about 1 minute until just softened.
  • Add cold rice to pan.
  • Add Garlic Powder, Onion Powder and Salt and mix well.
  • Add water to pan and stir well so the rice steams and heats up.
  • Serve & enjoy.
