If you’re a fan of chicken wings and looking for a new twist, the Ninja Woodfire Adobo Style Chicken Wings are a must-try. This recipe takes the classic Filipino adobo dish and turns it on its head, combining traditional flavors with the smoky goodness that only the Ninja Woodfire Grill can provide. The result is a batch of crispy, well-seasoned wings that are both tangy and savory, perfect for any occasion.
To start, you'll marinate the chicken wings in a blend of soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaves, and black pepper. This traditional adobo marinade infuses the wings with a deep, robust flavor. For best results, marinate the wings overnight to allow the flavors to penetrate deeply, ensuring every bite is bursting with taste.
Once marinated, the wings are ready for the Ninja Woodfire Grill. Set your grill to Air Crisp and load it with your preferred wood pellets; hickory or mesquite work great for this recipe. The Air Crisp setting along with the Woodfire option imparts a wonderful smoky flavor that complements the adobo seasoning beautifully. Arrange the wings in the Ninja Woodfire Air Crisp Basket and cook until they reach a perfect golden brown, flipping occasionally to ensure even cooking.

While the wings are air frying, you can prepare a glaze. This glaze will add an extra layer of flavor and a lovely sheen to the finished wings. Once the wings are cooked through and crispy, brush them with the adobo glaze and give them a final few minutes on the grill. This step caramelizes the glaze slightly, adding a delicious sticky finish. Serve your Ninja Woodfire Adobo Style Chicken Wings hot, with plenty of the sticky sauce!
These wings are perfect for game day, a backyard barbecue, or simply as a tasty snack. The combination of smoky and tangy flavors is sure to be a hit with friends and family. Enjoy your wings with a side of rice or fresh veggies to complete the meal. Happy grilling!
