FIVE GUYS Copycat Burger Recipe on the Ninja Woodfire
Equipment
- Ninja Woodfire Grill with Flat Top Accessory
- Spatula
- Cutting Board
- Knife
- Burger Press
- Parchment Paper
- Aluminum Foil
Ingredients
- 4 Sesame Seed Brioche Buns
- 26.4 OZ Ground Beef They use Chuck and Sirloin Special Mix
- 1 White Onion Sliced
- 12 Oz White Mushrooms Sliced
- 8 Slice American Cheese Kraft Preferred
- 4 tablespoon Smoked Bacon Fat You can use regular bacon fat or just oil.
- 12 Pickle Slices
- 1 Head Iceburg Lettuce
- 1 Tomato Sliced
- 4 tablespoon Ketchup
- 4 tablespoon Yellow Mustard
- 1 tablespoon Salt
- 1 tablespoon Pepper
- 3 tablespoon Avocado Oil Anny Neutral High Heat Oil Works
Instructions
- Separate your ground beef into 3.3 oz balls.
- Load your Ninja up with your favorite pellets and use the flat top griddle.
- Set it to grill medium or high with the woodfire setting on. Add your sliced onion, salt, pepper, and some bacon fat to the griddle. Cook the onions with the lid closed for about 10-15 minutes. Toss ocassionally.
- Add the mushrooms and more oil if needed cook until browned and softened, about 10 more minutes. Set them aside.
- Now that the griddle is well seasoned kick the heat up to high.
- Once the grill is preheated add your burger balls and smash them down and season them with salt and pepper. Use parchment paper to help with sticking. Cook until you see a crust forming and then flip. They are done when you see clear white juices running out.
- Top with a slice of American cheese close the lid and let it melt.
- Toast the buns on the griddle.
- Assemble the burger as per the notes.
