The kiddo has recently decided that her favorite food is shrimp and taco Tuesday has become a staple around the Dad household. One of the nice things about making an easy shrimp taco recipe is that if you keep some shrimp in the freezer you can pull it off at any time.
This makes an "I forgot to plan dinner" scenario easy to remedy.

Grab some shrimp
Dad uses frozen shrimp in most cases so the first step is to defrost the shrimp. To do this just throw the shrimp into a bowl with some cold tap water. In about 20 minutes the shrimp will be defrosted and ready to go. Using frozen shrimp is one of the things that makes this such an easy shrimp taco recipe.
Season & Saute
Add the vegetable oil & minced garlic to a pan and place it over medium heat. Adding the garlic when the pan is cold gives you some extra control to keep it from burning. As soon as the garlic begins to brown add the shrimp, chopped cilantro, garlic powder, onion powder, and lime juice. Toss the shrimp and cook until they are no longer pink. This should only take about 5-6 minutes. Right before they are done season with salt to taste.
