An upside-down latte
This drink is basically the reverse of a latte. In a latte you top coffee with whipped or steamed milk. In Dalgona Coffee you whip up coffee and top milk with it. To do this you really need instant coffee. Apparently there are other ways to do it but using instant coffee is the best way to do it.
Easier with a mixer
The easiest way to pull off Dalgona Coffee is to use a stand mixer with the whisk attachment. In fact, this is a really simple recipe if you have one. Put 2 tablespoon of instant coffee, 2 tablespoon of white sugar and 2 tablespoon of boiling water into the bowl. With the whisk attachment of whip on high for 3-4 minutes or until you see it turn to foam and have what we call "stiff peaks". This means that when you flip the whisk upside-down that the mixture is fully stuck to it, it does not drip off and it holds form.
Other methods
If you do not have a stand mixer you can do this with a hand mixer or even whisk it by hand if you happened to have forearms like Popeye.
