Grilled Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Wrapping asparagus in bacon and grilling it is one of the easiest ways to get a kid to eat their vegetables. This is so easy and so delicious.

Equipment

  • Charcoal Grill

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch Asparagus
  • 1 pkg Thin Cut Bacon
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Instructions

  • Wash and dry asparagus.
  • Hold both ends of the asparagus and snap it, where it snaps is where you will cut the rest (see video).
  • Cut the rest of the asparagus to length.
  • Wrap asparagus in bunches (see video for technique) of 5-6 in the bacon.
  • Drizzle with Extra Virgin olive oil.
  • Season with garlic powder, onion powder and salt. I put it all in a shaker to make it easy.
  • Grill until the bacon is nice and crispy, turning frequently.
