⏲️ Cook times
Now there are infinite ways to cook boiled eggs but the 3 versions that we go through here will satisfy most situations and needs. The procedure for cooking the eggs is all the same. The only thing that changes is the time you set the Instant Pot to.
To cook your eggs put your Trivett inside the Instant Pot (make sure the inner pot is in the Instant Pot). Add one cup of water and place the eggs on top of the Trivett. Cook on manual or high for the desired time.
When the cooking time is finished do a quick release (flip to toggle to venting) and then immediately place the eggs in an ice bath for 5 minutes.
For a totally soft boiled egg use 1 minute cook time. For an egg with a semi-soft center use 3 minutes and for a more traditional hard-boiled egg use 5 minutes.
? Top Tip
The ice bath is super important. If you skip the icebath the eggs will not come out as pictured. The icebath effectively stops the cooking process. Also to help your peeling it is easiest to peel the eggs underneath running water. Be gentle when tapping the 1-minute egg, it is very fragile.
